FAQ
What sellers ask before their first Snap.
Short, plain answers. Pick a topic to jump to it.
Getting started
What do I need to start?
A phone and a Google or Facebook account to sign in. Then one product: its name, a photo, the price in DA and how you deliver. SellSnap runs in your browser at app.sellsnap.me, so there is nothing to download from a store and no website to build.
Your Instagram, TikTok or Facebook stays your shop. Each Snap is one product with its own link: on the product’s post or ad, in your bio or a story, or in a reply to a message.
How long does my first Snap take?
About two minutes. The app takes you through four steps: name and price, one photo, delivery, then go live. At the end you get the link, ready to copy or share.
You can save at any step and finish later. Set your logo and colors once, and every Snap after that looks like the same shop.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. SellSnap is free during the beta: nothing to buy, no card to enter. You start with 300 DA of free Snap credit and get 20 DA more when your first Snap goes live, each once per person. That covers your first live days.
Your buyers
Do my buyers need an app or an account?
No. Your link opens a normal web page in any browser, including the ones inside Instagram and Facebook. No account, no app to install.
They see one page for one product, with your name, logo and colors: photos first, the price in DA, sizes or colors if you have them, then delivery and the total. They can switch the page to Arabic, French or English; your product text stays as you wrote it.
How does my buyer order and pay?
On the same page, they give their name, phone, wilaya, commune and address. Wilaya and commune come from a list of all 69 wilayas and 1,541 communes (Law 26-06), so nobody types them by hand.
They pay you in cash on delivery. There is no card payment, and the money never passes through SellSnap. After ordering, they see an order number such as SS-L5ZZTQ.
How does delivery work?
You choose for each Snap:
- Delivery included in the price.
- Fee confirmed by phone. The page says the fee is still to be confirmed, so delivery never looks free. After your call, you add the fee to the order.
- Home and desk fees. Set a different fee for any wilaya, and offer free delivery above an amount if you like.
SellSnap does not ship parcels or connect to delivery companies. You deliver the way you already do, and mark each order shipped, delivered or returned.
Pricing and Snap credit
What exactly do I pay for?
The days a Snap takes orders. Your Wallet holds Snap credit in DA; putting a Snap live, or adding days to it, spends some of it for the days you pick. Longer periods cost less per day.
Editing, pausing and viewing are free, and Snap credit never expires. There is no monthly plan and no fee per order. See pricing.
What happens when the days run out?
The Snap stops taking new orders, and its link shows an “unavailable” screen. Every order you already received stays in the app.
Unspent Snap credit stays in your Wallet. Add days from the app when you are ready, and the same link takes orders again.
How do I pay, and can I get a refund?
During the beta you pay nothing. After it, you top up your Wallet in the app, in DA, by CIB or Edahabia. There is no payment on sellsnap.me.
Once top-ups open, we refund when we are at fault — a double charge, or a paid top-up we failed to deliver — back through the payment platform to the card that paid. We don’t refund because a Snap didn’t sell. Details in the terms.
Orders and your data
Where do my orders arrive?
In the app, with a notification on your phone. The notification shows the order number, the product, the total and the wilaya — never the buyer’s name or phone. Tap it to open the order, call the buyer, and confirm or cancel.
Every order also lands in the app’s inbox, even with notifications off. On an iPhone, add SellSnap to your Home Screen to get notifications. The owner can invite managers and staff and decide what each of them can do.
Who sees my buyers’ details?
You, and the team members you allow. You see the buyer’s name, phone and address so you can confirm and deliver the order.
SellSnap deletes the name, phone and address automatically, at the latest 90 days after the order is delivered, cancelled or returned. We don’t sell personal data or use it for advertising. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Sign-in → Delete my account. You are signed out on every device, and the deletion is set for 7 days later. Sign back in before then and it is cancelled.
On day 7, SellSnap erases your name and your sign-in accounts, the workspaces you own with their Snaps and photos, and the buyers’ details on their orders. Payment records are kept, for accounting. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I reach SellSnap?
Write to support@sellsnap.me. A person answers.
